I use normally 2000~4000 and oversample 2~4 depending the fractal, and sometimes that isn't enough
I've seen that some people recommended you render settings, but maybe this helps you... if you have patience.
Patience is definitely a virtue with Apo...I am having to wait about 30-45 min now between renders.
